Diagnosed with inoperable and fast-spreading
breast cancer, Pat McLaughlin faced certain death. Acknowledging her fate,
she came to realize that she was more than sick in the body; she was sick
emotionally and spiritually as well. She turned to prayer and rediscovered
God's loving presence and the healing touch of Jesus. When she was miraculously
cured of her cancer, she found that she was healed on all levels.
In this spirit-filled book, she shares her story and
helps her readers to find the healing touch of Jesus in their lives, and
to know God's love in a new relationship of intimacy. But it is more than
just the story of her personal spiritual journey; it is a practical guide
to learning trust in the healing power of God in our lives, and in finding
empowerment for our brokenness through the use of prayer.
The Jesus Walk provides important
help and advice for those suffering emotional or physical illness. It
also speaks to their families and friends, charismatics, clergy and pastoral
workers, spiritual directors and health care workers. It is a guidebook
for all who want to know more about all aspects of the healing ministry.
Patricia A. McLaughlin authors stories and articles
for all ages, some of which have been featured on the radio program, "A
Time for Hope." She has been active in pastoral ministry since 1979,
and is a member of the society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators
and the Association of Christian Therapists.
